Honouring Local Vietnam Veterans Project
Eumundi Museum has been provided a Saluting Their Service Grant from the Australian Government to honour our local Vietnam Veterans.
The 50th Anniversary of the last Australia troops to return from Vietnam is in December 1972 and of the formal declaration of the end of Australia’s participation in the war on 11 January. To commemorate these significant events the Museum will run an exhibition from December to February which will feature local Vietnam Veterans stories and memorabilia from the war.
As well as honouring our local veterans this project will also preserve their stories and make them easily accessible and interactive.
