Business Description

Noosaville Library and Cooroy Library/Mill Place have Friends' groups that support and enhance the services and activities of the library.
Friends of Noosaville Library

The Friends of Noosaville Library meet on the first Thursday of every month. This is a great opportunity to meet with library staff and Friends and find out about the group's activities. Come along for a cuppa and a chat at 10.00am. Business follows from 10.30-11.30am for all interested persons.

The Friends of Noosaville Library group is involved in helping the libraries with social events, fundraising, events and booksales, as well as supporting the library staff in volunteer activities, such as:

Adult Literacy Tutoring
Home Library Service
Readers Groups
Computer Tutoring
Genealogy
Local Studies

The Friends of Noosaville Library also hold regular book sales to raise funds.

If you have a question or would like to join the Friends, talk to Noosaville Library staff or email
Friends of Mill Place are a friendly group of committed, community-minded people who meet on the third Monday of each month (except for January) to support the activities of Mill Place and Cooroy Library and to operate the Mill Place Retail Store.

The Mill Place Retail Store is located in Cooroy Library and operates Monday – Saturday from 9am to 12 noon. For sale in the shop are items made in the Mill Place Precinct. These are supplied by the Camphor Laurel Initiative Inc., the Ceramics Workshop and the Cooroora Woodworkers. There is a wide range of stock including wooden trays, stools, butcher’s blocks, pens, diaries, ceramic cups, bowls, jewellery and so much more…

The Friends group is involved in volunteering activities as well as participating in events and/or special projects, such as:

• Retail Store
• Cooroy Fusion Festival
• Christmas in Cooroy
• Pink Precinct Fun Trail – raise awareness and funds for National Breast Cancer Foundation
• Author Visits
• Workshops, Programs and Events

If you are interested in becoming a Friend of Mill Place or volunteering, please contact the library, speak to Cooroy Library staff or email enquiries@friendsofmillplace.org
